rugged cell reviewed Review by nickedname
Design Features Value Performance I've read elsewhere about the skunk works of a rugged phone builder developing a cellphone based on Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional. Looks like its getting a Qualcomm MSM 7227 chipset powers GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 & UMTS/HSPA: 900/1700/2100 (-E); 850/1900/2100 (-A). Spec shows 1900mAh battery powering a phone with a 3.2MP camera, Flash and torch with Bar Code Scan Cap. Applications include WLAN 802.11 b/g, a 2.4 inch transflective QVGA display engineered to IK Rating 7, speaker with adjustable 100+dB max audio output and noise cancellation. Naturally its rugged to Mil Spec 810G, IP-67 with dimensions of 119 x 68 x 20mm. 180g weight with new waterproof I/O Connectors presents an unusual combination of Keypad and Touchscreen. Software includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PDF viewer and Voice memo with HW Extensions for GPS w/ OMA SUPL, Motion Sensor. OTA provisioning for OMA CP1.1, DM 1.2.1, T-flash Firmware update Bluetooth: v2.1+EDR. There's WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (IE Mobile 6) and messaging using SMS, MMS, Sonimail, IM and Push-to-talk. Entertainment is provided by MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, OGG, AMR and WMV/MP4 with DRM support. Cant wait! (Posted on 9/03/10)

Rugged phone Review by Jonathan
Features Value Performance Design I bought this so I could have a phone for emergencies while out kayaking and other things I do outside. For what it’s meant for, it’s great. It’s certainly not the best phone I’ve ever had, but I really needed something that could hold up against water just in case it got wet. I am very pleased with it, but aesthetically, it leaves little to be desired. (Posted on 22/02/10)
