Samsung has launched Wave II S8530, an impressive and feature-filled smartphone much like its predecessor Samsung S8500 Wave. The device runs the latest version of the Bada OS and has kept all the great features of the original Wave but with a much larger 3.7 inch touchscreen display (capacitive) and with Super Clear LCD technology instead of SuperAMOLED. The display comes with accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, scratch-resistant oleophobic surface and multi-touch input. The phone is powered by ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and offers an internal memory of 2 GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The Wave II features a 5 megapixel autofocus camera that is capable of recording 720p HD video clips and includes many other camera features like LED flash, auto focus, smile, face, and blink detection, image stabilization and geo-tagging.
Other multimedia features include the media player that can play music as well as video files. The music player is capable of playing MP3/ WAV/ WMA/ eAAC+; while the video players can stream MP4/ H.263/ H.264/ WMV/ Xvid/ DivX video files. The device also features a Stereo FM radio with RDS and FM recording capability.
Another great feature of S8530 is Nuance's T9 Trace text input system, which allows users to trace a word on an on-screen keyboard (QWERTY or alphanumeric) to enter it.
