Certainly Beats The Blackberry Review by Rokel
Features Value Performance Design Finally I have found probably the best phone on the market. I have been using
GOOD POINTS:
Easy to use.
Absolutely love the big screen.
Connected up to my Cars Factory fitted bluetooth with ease.
Can use it as a modem to get online via my laptop easily.
Touch screen good and responsive.
Good hevay sturdy phone.
Takes lovely photos.
BAD POINTS:
I can't find any yet although the accessories I purchased on this sight all had to be sent back! Stylus's Basic & Prem, Leather Belt Case and Battery. However Staff were very friendly and helpful and agreed to refund.
I would certainly recommend Mobicity and this phone to anyone and everyone, Postage was very quick and staff were wonderful. :-) (Posted on 24/06/10) -
Great Phone Review by Jack1059
Design Features Value Performance Bought it about a month back from mobicity. The guys were great. So far I really like it. The battery life is about 3 days with moderate use and drops to a day with heavy use.
Pros
-Solid reliable operating system
-Everything works right out of the box
-Decent battery life (3 days on mod use - 1 day on heavy use)
-Great storage space
-Good camera
-Symbian apps will work on this phone
-Build quality is excellent
Cons
-Symbian's a bit quirky, with some menus requiring one touch to open and others two. Nothing major and forgivable as everything just plain works.
-Lack of a Samsung app store. Apps are available, but digging is required.
-Touchwiz I thought was no great shakes especially with the complete lack of samsung apps, but you can turn it off.
-Complete lack of Samsung support. No real firmware updates with Italy getting one, but nothing here in Aus. Odd.
Summary
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent business touch screen. The lack of apps will frustrate those looking for an iphone like experience though. Otherwise great phone with a solid operating experience. (Posted on 21/12/09) -
One of the Best New Smartphones Review by dancing247
Value Performance Design Features I’ve been using this phone for about a month now and I’m a big fan! The screen quality is very impressive and the 8MP camera is amazing!
PROS:
As stated – 8MP! Takes awesome pictures
Expandable memory option of up to 16GB
Screen is responsive
Beautiful, vibrant screen
CONS:
Finger print magnet
With such a great camera, I don’t like that there isn’t a lens cover. I know it’s not an actual camera, but it’s useless if there’s any damage
Speakerphone isn’t the greatest. Volume was okay, but there was a slight echo and hollowness
Battery life was acceptable. While using the strong camera, calls, and email, it lasted a little over a day, which was as expected. Hopefully they work on making it so the Omnia can read higher than 16GB because an 8MP camera photos will take up more space. It’s acceptable for now, but once I get going, I won’t want to purchase multiple cards. (Posted on 20/09/09)
