I have one, Awesome device Review by MrCoward
Design Features Value Performance You really have to wonder how a company can come up with such an awesome device. I got mine about 1 months ago. My main concern was size, after putting it in my pocket and walking 5 paces I found I noticed it less than my old iphone, weird but it must be because it it spread over a bigger area. It is actually narrower wider than my wallet 1/3 as thick and 1.5cm longer. Anyways the things I love are:
Dictating via voice into emails/text messages works a treat. Most messages i can write without using the keyboard. Speed is awesome. Just chuck ya media on it and it plays it, have not found a media file it wont play. Streams video/pictures directly to my samsung tv (all share app, pre installed) or wdtv via wireless easily. Honestly that is amazing and I love it, 4 or 5 clicks and you have content from your phone playing or your tv with no cables. Syncs with exchange, my wireless at home and work seemlessly (i turn it off when i am not using it, only takes around 5 seconds to activate and connect). I get around 4 days out of a charge currenlty with wireless and gps off, only on when I want to use them. The more i discharge it and re-charge it seems to be lasting longer and longer all the time. The FM radio works sweet and has awesome reception, where my old htc touch hd would struggle with reception, the samsung seems to have perfect reception. I have all the apps i need and they were all free from android market. I love the remote control apps for my samsung tv and wdtv, the only gripe I have here and that is being petty is the app for the samsung tv is designed for a screen that is half the size of this big bad boy. Therefore they could enlage the remote to be full screen like wdtv have done. The wdtv remote app is awesome, love it. Plugged a usb stick into the bottom of the phone and was able to copy media directly to and from it, the only gripe i have with that is the default files app wont let you select and copy more than 1 file at a time. Have not looked on android market but I am sure other better file copy apps exist, no biggy. Put in a 32gb micro sd so I now have 48gb of storage, thats is awesome. Havent had much use for the stylus but at times it is good to have, found my finger to be adequate for most things, even drawing. Probaly the biggest turning point for me away from apple was the fact they (apple) are trying to block manufacturers using patents from releasing truly fantastic new and invative devices to us. Man I dig this thing, thats all I can say. I am excited about the ICS (android 4) release for the samsung touted to be 15 of march. The sammy has quite a few things not in the default ICS release, I am glad they are taking their time and getting it right before releasing it for the note. I really see no need for the change since this has exceeded my every expectiation so I am really happy to wait for the release to be perfect. Do it you will not be dissapointed. (Posted on 7/03/12) -
Galaxy Note - Great phone; size could be an issue! Review by Judas
Design Features Value Performance Bought this phone from mobicity and cannot fault fast service.
pros
Briliant screen
gps/maps worked flawlessly
good battery life - averaged 1.5 -2 days on full charge
extra loud speakerphone
cons
Large size not suitable for everyone
wifi not particularly strong (perhaps upgrade to ics may help)
Conclusion
Size will be an issue for some, but an extremely impressive phone.

Very capable phone Review by Sidney
Design Features Value Performance I have used the IPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy 2, however, I find this to be the most complete phone I have used or seen. It is not too big to fit in your pocket and the bigger screen is particularly useful if you want to view documents or take notes. The stylus works well, especially for taking longer notes. The large battery is a good feature and the 1.4 ghz duo core processors with 1 gb RAM make operations zap. (Posted on 17/11/11)

The Samsung Galaxy Note is an excellent mobile device for business data use. Review by CreativityCorp
Value Performance Design Features At CreativityCorp we test many smartphones and tablets to run our Mobile Data Studio software to collect business data. The Samsung Galaxy Note is the best mobile device yet for business data use. In the field collecting business data, users prefer to have one device rather than a phone and another perhaps larger screen device to enter data. The Samsung Galaxy Note perfectly covers both requirements and fits in a pocket.
A stylus is essential for many business data requirements but most third party styluses are weak compared to the excellent S Pen which fits neatly into the body of the Galaxy Note. For example, for customers to sign on accepting deliveries, or acceptance of field service of an air conditioner or photocopier, to sketch identify crash damage on a photo of a motor vehicle, identify a person in a large group photo, sketch on photos during home inspections etc.
In our experience the GPS in the Samsung Galaxy Note gained a fix within 10 seconds 'out of the box' which is excellent for field surveys requiring GIS information alongside other data collected in environmental, mining, asset tracking and other projects. And the 5.3 inch screen is large enough for practical use of maps.
Add to these attributes, good battery life and screen visibility outdoors and the Samsung Galaxy Note is the best mobile device yet for business data. We give it 5 out of 5 stars and number one for business data collection and use amongst smartphones and tablets.
