This is definitely one of the most loaded N-series phones currently available. It is the first high-end device to be powered by the latest Symbian S60 operating system and boasts a 3.5” touchscreen 360 x 640 resolution display with 16 million colours and a large full QWERTY keyboard.
The Nokia N97 supports quad-band GSM and HSDPA, WiFi, GPS and touch-enabled Nokia Maps with a digital compass. It also features a huge 32GB internal memory, 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, TV-out and FM radio with RDS.
And for those who like new innovations, the Nokia N97 also contains an accelerometer for auto-screen rotation and a proximity sensor for auto-screen turn-off during calls.
The phone is free of carrier software and ready for use on all Australian networks. Telstra NextG customers are only able to access the 2G and 3G services of their SIM with this device.

A disappointed optimist Review by Joel Eade
Performance Design Features Value I've always loved Nokia's, so I got an N97 as soon as I could. Unfortunately it's been a massive disappointment, despite my best efforts to stay positive.
I have spent months justifying the bugs and quirks of the N97 but I've had enough. All would have been forgiven if the last major software update had fixed most of the bugs but I've found it's introduced more, the most annoying of which is the hanging after each phone call.
I returned mine for "repair" to Nokia, which means formatting and reinstalling the software, which I had done already on many occasions. On picking up the phone I'd found that Nokia had got some dirt caught under the lens cover and when the cover was opened a deep scratch was left smack-bang in the middle of the lens.
It's currently with Nokia. I'm hoping that I get a new one so I can sell it and get an N900.
For the money it's really not worth it. (Posted on 19/02/10) -
Superb multimedia phone Review by Stuart
Performance Design Features Value I cannot praise this phone enough. I convert my DVD`s into mp4 format and watch them all the time on my N97. The N97 plays the mp4 files very well and having the bigger screen means you do not have to strain your eyes watching them, plus the N97 has tons of space to store them, 32 gb.
The phone itself is very easy to use.
The learning curve for me was about 2 hours all up.
I find that this phone and all its applications works flawlessly together.
I have heard reports that owners of this phone have had problems with the battery cover and also with the battery itself not holding a charge for long enough.
This is not the case at all with my phone.
I have found the battery in my N97 keeps its charge very well.
Bearing in mind I watch a lot of films on my N97.
I have had no problems whatsoever.
Generally I give the Nokia N97 a five star rating and strongly recomend it to anyone looking to buy a mobile phone that fully supports most if not all multimedia.
Very happy customer.
Also I would like to say a quick thank-you to MobiCity.
I received my phone the very next business day and everything was a described.
Superb Service.
I look forward to buying my next mobile phone at MobiCity in the future. (Posted on 5/02/10) -
A bad mistake Review by Geoffrey
Performance Design Features Value The phone I like but it just doesn't work reliably. In the time I have owned it I have been returned it to Nokia twice and it is overdue for its third and if I have anything to say about it; its final return. The problems have been battery going flat overnight, with out any applications active or calls being made or received. failing to turn on, failing to unlock, disconnecting from the network and having to be powered off to get it to re-connect. When answering calls I have only been able to get the phone to answer on 4 or 5 occasions usually meaning I have to call the person trying to contact me back. Nokia have not been very helpful and all they have done is a quick battery check, upgrade to the latest version of the firmware, and on the next visit the phone was reformatted and the phone re-load and they checked the battery again . They refuse to admit that symbian and or this phone just are not up to the task

Top phone, Nokia provides all Review by Dragon_Slayer
Value Performance Design Features I like the design and feel of this phone. It's the right size, not as big as the iPhone and its competitiors but plenty of room to operate when you slide out the keypad. I haven't got through all of the gadgets yet but it is great fun exploring them! (Posted on 11/09/09)

goes good. Review by Ben
Value Performance Design Features Awesome phone in white. does dirty easily and screen and phone very durable. All the features I want in a phone. I think it is more professional than the iphone. Desktop is great how it can be personilised, Battery Life is good, but depends on which widgets you have open on desktop and how much you are using it. I get 1 to 2 days out of a charge. Using email, internet and music player most of the day. Have since found some fun apps and games and loving the fm transmitter for the car. Maps on this phone is so much faster at finding gps than my old n95 8gb which makes it alot more hander it times of need. Keyboard, onscreen keys and handwriting for typing make it easy for everyone. it can also read your txt messages to you to. great quick service from the guys in brissy, who were as stoked as i was when it showed up in store. Dont regret buying the white anymore goes good.Cheers. (Posted on 19/07/09)
