Good budget android handset Review by smashman42
Performance Design Features Value Good cheap little phone, albeit *ugly with the huge ring surrounded dpad & gawdy coloured back plates. (the new X1 is pretty much a cosmetic update with the same dated hardware)
Games run like crap having such a lowly CPU but that is to be expected for something so cheap (tho angry birds is playable, turn off background scenery if it is laggy for you). As others have mentioned the little screen is fiddly with the soft keyboard, especially around the edges in portrait mode.
It is quite compact & light so easily fits in a pocket unlike some of the new huge screen monsters.
It has fairly good aftermarket ROM support if you are into that sort of thing (eg: CM7/Gingerbread port available), if you are scared of rooting an expensive handset a cheapie like this that has a Cyanogenmod port (look on XDA) might be a way of seeing all the extra functionality in custom Android ROMs to see what you are missing & get your confidence up to root a exxy phone (for instance the notification bar power widget is hard to live without once you've used it for a while)

Hard to Navigate Review by Rov
Design Features Value Performance nice compact design, not large and clunky!A lot of big phone features WiFi and touch screen bright and GPS etc.Extremely good value for money for a touch screen Android phone.Performance in many respects good, but Android software OS not very intuitive and waste lot time navigating. The comprehensive setting to adjust all are hard to find or not much to customise as is per a Symbian or Windows Smartphone.cant get to many features without starting again if you make a slight mistake on the touch screen.I wont be keeping this phone long.I havent the time to waste toying with the poor settings.unfortunately. For the price, you can't go wrong.. however.. Review by David S
Design Features Value Performance The phone is smaller than most of the smartphones.. in reality it would have worked well to have a slide out real keyboard, because the screen size (although not that bad) is a tad small to type on (adult chunky fingers!). It's not a speedy phone, however for most things it works well.. angry birds for instance is a little glitchy and slow - but then the screen size isn't that great for those types of games anyway.
As a business related phone, skype works very well, as does email and things like twitter/facebook.. just the on screen keyboard is a little small for myself anyway - although if you turn on the haptic feedback/key vibrate function, it feels a little easier to type as you "feel" a keypress at least.
The battery life is really not great.. pity.. I realise phones are not just phones any more, but really to get a full day out of the battery, you need to turn off wifi/bluetooth and everything else, and not talk too long! I am going to buy a spare battery to have handy.. sort of spoils it a bit - again for the price though, really only the phone worth it.

Quite Good Review by ChanChan
Value Performance Design Features An excellent phone. It is a very economical phone, especially the price. Great Features and outstanding performance. The only part of the phone that really let me down was the design, too simple.
But Overall, I recommend this phone to everyone. if your choosing on buying a phone, this is phone is worth it compared to the iphone. (Posted on 7/05/11) -
Excellent value Review by Steven Heath
Performance Design Features Value The Ideos U8150 is a not a pocket rocket - lacking in some grunt as it is but as a good all rounder (my first smart phone) it is great. Generally handles all tasks well but can be a little sluggish between the programs. It is a good size, afterall, some of the new 'fancier' smartphones are getting back to bag size and not pocket sized at all. (Posted on 20/03/11)
