Good Phone for your money Review by Kevin
Performance Design Features Value Great OS, good build quality, what you would expect from a new OS. WP7.5 Mango really completes the phone with tethering support (at least with Vodafone).
If app selection is a worry, there are great apps for weather, timer, and generally used applications you find in iphone counterparts. Gaming is good if you are willing to chip in, however small brain teasers games like sudoku, minesweeper, unblock me (traffic jam?) are free and great to play with. From what i understand, WP7 lack the granular control apps that Android has to customize the phone. However this is a limitation that is with every other OS other than android.
The phone has never locked up on me over the year i have used it, and although the software has a learning curve, it is small relative to the other phones.
I highly recommend the Trophy to anyone who just wants a phone that is simple, fluid, clean smartphone in this price range.
Overall the Trophy is a great phone and Windows Phone is a q (Posted on 12/03/12) -
Very modern OS! Review by James
Performance Design Features Value I thought the Windows Phone 7 OS was amazingly simple, yet futuristic, modern and feature-rich.
Although, I must say, compared to other Windows Phones, the Trophy hardware is not the best, and is fairly basic. (Posted on 10/10/11) -

A quality phone that will get better Review by Mike Dodgers
Features Value Performance Design This is possibly the best phone I have used to date. Fits nicely in my hand, it light weight and easy to you. Buttons are responsive as is the touch screen. Sturdy in feel and build quality, you don't feel like it will break easily. But handsets now days are only as good as the software that runs on them, and I can say, Windows Phone 7 is possibly one of the best phone operating systems there are.
The operating system never really seems to chug along. You click and there are some delays with certain applications but it isn't long enough for you to get annoyed. The tiles on the front screen is a good idea, totally customisable, for ordering and what you can pin to the start screen. If you don't want it there, then a large list of them is available for you to scroll through, which is fast.
The three buttons madatory to all Windows Phone 7 models provide an easy way to get to everything. The windows button takes you always back to the home screen, no matter what application is running, and it multi tasks. Apps running will continue to run in the background (this is dependant on how the developer develops for this feature). Playing music I can go back to the home screen and check out facebook updates, with a click of the Back button I am back into the music play and the song never missing a beat.
The back button does different things, if the application supports it, like IE, it will take you back to the previous page otherwise it takes you back to the last screen you were on. The find button, it is a universal find, not always taking you to Bing web search, but it is dependant on the application and if they support it, if no support then it will come up with web search (accidently pressed, pressing the back will fix it). These buttons are super sensitive, and I have pressed them while playing some games, but it is only a mild annoyance.
I could go on and on, the quality of the operating system is really astounding considering this is a first version of this product from Microsoft, but with competition from Apple and Google there was a lot of inspiration to draw from. The phones interface is unique and easy to use for possibly even novice users.
Power consumption can be a little large if you use automatic brightness or even high brightness. Switch on WiFi or use the networking features a lot and you might get 1-2 days before a recharge is required. But I will get 3-4 days out of moterate usage of emails and mobile internet. Speaking on mobile internet there are some great options that enable it to use less or no data if required, so you want it for the phone, it will operate happily on that mode, and it has the ability to turn off data roaming (which can be expensive if you are unaware of it)
The screen brightness is a little bit of a let down, sunny day, unless your brightness is on Full or Auto you will struggle to read the screen. but bright indoors, Low is easy enough to read. The light sensor though (not sure if there is one) doesn't seem to work. Since I have used auto and it doesn't seem to change the brightness of the phone at all.
Sound, as far as sound of the phone calls go, I can't find fault with it, the other end finds my voice clear and easy to understand. Voices coming through the ear peice are clear with no drops or pops in the sound. Audio playback I will say is TOP NOTCH. With quality headphones the sound of this device and listening to music, is almost as good as my Zen X-Fi 2. Not quite there yet but it surpasses that of the iPod or iPhone easily, and with Dolby Mobile or SRS (if you want more spatial sounding music) is available, including some preset equalizers. A custom one would have been good, as I am very specific with it.
Games play great, nice and smooth animations but I find the power of the device is good, this will eat into your battery time as well. But for mobile games possibly one of the better platforms for it, using Direct-X 9 abilities.
If you are looking for a new device, but aren't sure, but hold no allegences, then I will say, jump at a Windows Phone 7 device, it is all about which phone you want to look at. The operating system is the same on all devices. Microsoft hit a home run with this phone but is it enough to at least compete with Apple in the market, a better phone it is than the iPhone but often the head start can kill quality. Promising phone Review by John
Value Performance Design Features Great phone and a unique approach to manage your info. The "hubs" idea is much more intuitive than the segregated individual applications on the iPhone - why should I open and close different applications to see information about a single contact? Why do I need to go to different apps to see photos? Windows Phone 7 lets you see them all in one place. (Posted on 10/11/10)
