Jawbone PRIME uses an algorithm that digitally fuses together the best audio from its two electret microphones (the clean preserved high-end frequencies of speech) and its patented Voice Activity Sensor (the low-end frequencies of speech) to create a single, natural sounding speech signal.
The industry-standard microphone approach used by most headset companies fails as the microphones become saturated with wind noise distorting the low-end frequencies of speech (as noticed when you blow over a soda-bottle).

Jawbone PRIME has even better background noise elimination than the previous generations. NoiseAssassin™ 2.0 delivers an order of magnitude improvement in the noisiest environments (6 to 9dB) extracting even more noise while keeping the user's voice natural.
AVAD
Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD) provides a fail-safe mechanism when the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) doesn't touch your face. When the VAS is not touching the face, Jawbone PRIME performs as good as or better than any other noise cancelling headset. When the VAS touches the face, you get the turbo-boost to the NoiseAssassin performance.

Design Features Value Performance The Jawbone is the best thing to hit the market to date. I have a lot of truck drivers using them, and there is no need to stop the truck to make and recive a phone call. No more useless phone kits that cost a furtune to install, just hook up and off you go, the most I do now is just use the car charger for the phone and a jawbone, that you can then use with any phone. No need to update carkits when you change phones. They are quick charge with a long life talk time, great range so I can have my moblie sitting on my office desk, go and make coffe, file anything and still recive a phone call or make a phone call. Features Value Performance Design I am constantly traveling and this is by far the best headset. The audio is fantastic and callers on the end can no longer tell that I’m on the road. Value Performance Design Features I have to do a lot of conference calls on the road usually on my way home from work. Previously i have had to stop the car to avoid getting a lot of road/car noise on the call. With the jawbone prime the other participants on the call cant tell the difference if im in a quiet room or driving. The bonus is , i get home from work earlier now. (Posted on 1/08/09)
